Member Wiki is Alive!

The time is at hand to release the beast. The mediawiki based Bozeman MakerSpace : Member Wiki is ready for use. Feel free to make it your own. The basic point of a wiki is to allow you the member to post your ideas, images, schematics, links related to your projects. I've just setup the software and would like to know what you think.

Squishy Circuits

So I found This Website the other day while searching for quick small projects. This site provides recipes for conductive and insulating "play dough" that you can build simple circuits out of. I'm going to cook up a couple batches tonight and start playing around with it, and I'll try to remember to bring some to the Saturday build so you can all take a look and play with it yourself.

ECE stock room website.

last night at the mini-meetup it seemed like a lot of you were interested in what the universities electrical engineering stock room had to offer for parts.

here's a link to their website
this shows the hours that they are open and a somewhat ancient inventory list showing most of what Brent has available, and generally what the price is going to be.

NOTE: they only accept cash or check, so be ready for that.

Mini-Meet Reminder : Tonight @ Bacchus Pub

A sweet table sign provided by Travis Hyyppa! Now people might find us at the pub ;)

Just a friendly reminder if you are interested in getting to know more about the Bozeman Makerspace.

For full details visit our Meetup page here!

We are hosting biweekly mini meets for the Bozeman Makerspace. Come one, come all for festive discussions with fellow makers from around the Gallatin Valley. Beyond the typical ramblings about electronics, fire, and building cool stuff, we want to hear about your projects.

We typically meet in the area between the Bacchus Pub and Ted Montana Grill.

We would love to have everyone with interest attend!

Soldering is Easy!

Found this in my RSS feeds today. Definitely some good info in it, and one of the formats available allows it to be easily printed as a comic book. Given all the excitement around The World's Most Useless Machine last Saturday, it might be worth cranking out a few dozen of these for our next big event.

From the website (http://www.ai-class.com)

"The class runs from Sept 26 through Dec 16, 2011. While this class is being offered online, it is also taught at Stanford University, where it continues to be a popular intro-level class on AI. For the online version, the instructors aim to offer identical materials, assignments, and exams, and to use the same grading criteria. Both instructors will be available for online discussions."
